I saw similar sanyo model on craigslist for a good buy but sadly it has the freezer compartment. How easy would it be to remove that and get 2 kegs in there? Will removing that section screw up the temp control?

i am in the process of doing a Danby I got dirt cheap off craigslist and it has a freezer tray at top that controls the cooling and has refrigerant running within it. I have been talking to a few folks on here about it. One guy who did it with the freezer. Wil have to unscrew the freezer from the sides and fold it against the back of the fridge without severing any lines within it or it's connection to the compressor, It can be a delicate fold but once out of the way the conversion can continue on as normal,,at least I hope that is what I have seen and been told.

Another option is to build a collar out of plywood and styrofoam insulation. I did this to a mini fridge with a freezer, and I was able to fit two cornies and a 10# tank inside.

Is this picture a sanyo? I have sanyo with a freezer. I would really like to convert. Has any one done this?

I have a sanyo with a freezer too, about an inch too short for cornys. I think the refrigerant lines are IN the freezer and I'm not sure if you could move it unfortunately.
