Connecting false bottom to valve

So I have a new false bottom in the mail to go into a 6 gallon SS pot as a mash tun and I just realized I have no way of connecting that hose barb to the inlet hose barb on the valve. How is everyone else connecting these, high temp silicone hose?

I just use vinyl reinforced tubing that you can get at HomeDepot or Lowes. I run the tube through a bung plug (the kind you see on the 5 liter kegs). Here is an example of the bung plug which your LBS probably has. Disclaimer, this is NOT an ad, just an example.
