So I just made my first ever homebrew. The wort is currently sitting in my Conical Fermenter, and is beginning the fermentation process.

After 2 weeks, I will be dry hopping my brew, then letting it sit for an additional week.

My question is, should I close the bottom valve at the 2 week/dry hop mark and remove the yeast container? Or should I keep it in the bottom container until the dry hopping process is complete?

Thanks!

How much dry hop? If the yeast is done doing it’s thing, reached fg, I would close the valve, drain the yeast and reattach and open the valve for the hop trub.

A little less than half an ounce (I am only brewing 2.5 gallons instead of 5).

That's sort of what I thought but I just wanted to make sure. Will I be able to keep the yeast if I refrigerate the container?
