I would say aim for the 1500btu plus range but they might work... The 6000 btu one is probably the treat. You do not want the thing cranking away its whole life struggling to keep things cool. I think i figured that 10 gallons of fermenting wort can produce 500btus, Then you have loss to the outside and duty cycle.

Bigger is better, But that 6000 btu one is the same power as the window AC units people are making.


How cold can it be set too? most tropical fish don't like 32 degree cold crashes.
