I'm planning my conical build and for the tank itself would like to use the 2" inch male NPT thread drain version instead of the 1-1/2" inch female threaded outlet. After searching the forum for others that have gone this route I've read that the 2" drain model has "nooks & crannies" inside the tank where yeast & trub are caught. Apparently this isn't an issue with the 1.5" inch version. All of these comments, however, were from some time ago.

Can anyone confirm/deny this about the 2" MPT model? I haven't been able to find pictures inside the tanks to verify it either.

you have to get the full drain (INFD) models with the built in threads and not the "IN" model which has a bulkhead for the outlet which is where the nooks and crannies comes into play.
