FINALLY!!!!
I was getting seriously worried I got passed up again!
My unit had me guessing til the very end too! It is customary you get a call the morning the results are "officially" released....well my flight commander calls me at 10 til 8 this morning all dejected sounding, saying I had to show up at the office for "goldenflow" (military term for a piss test), and I had to be in uniform and there by 0900. Okay, I'm thinking that I have extremely bad luck or this is a good prank. But I'm so nervous I don't know what to think. I had an idea I made it though.....so I get into work, ask my commander where I needed to go. He said the personnel office (orderly room). So I walk there and the guy in the orderly room makes me sign the paper for the piss test. This paper is officially signed by my first sergeant and everything, so at this point I'm thinking HOLY CRAP, this is real....so I sign it, he says he'll be right back to make a copy of it.....well, after the longest 3 minutes of my life, the clolonel comes around the corner and is calling the entire squadron into the conference room....THEN I KNEW......
Sorry for the long story, but they got me good today and it was worth sharing!!!!!!
Nice big pay raise for more brewing equipment and I'm finally not outranked by my wife anymore!!!!! :rockin:
