I am trying to decide what category (2015 guidelines) to enter my beer into. I have a coffee porter as well as a honey porter and am trying to decide how to enter them. Any ideas?

That is what I was thinking, do you think the coffee version could go it 13C?

It could but the coffee would have to be a restrained secondary flavor. As a judge, I would knock you down for having too much coffee flavor in a 13C entry. If the beer is soft, sweet and caramelly, with a restrained hop character, and a soft coffee undertone, it would score well as a 13C (without mentioning coffee of course). If it doesn't taste just like that, I would enter in the 30A.

The coffee flavor is more upfront than restrained. Thank you for the help. I
