In lieu of creating my own cold pressed coffees for bottling/keg time additions, I've decided to try some commercially available options. After an informal blind taste test, I've decided to use this in my first attempt: https://www.chameleoncoldbrew.com/product/espresso-10-oz/

I know concentration of the cold press and taste preference are the ultimate influencing factors. My simple question was whether anyone else had used a commercial cold press ready to drink in their recipe and what quantity did they start or finish with using? I was just looking for some comparison data.

When I was creating my own cold pressed coffee, I think it was highly concentrated. I was only adding 2 ounces to a 5 gallon batch. This commercial brew tasted a bit lighter so I was thinking about starting with 4-6 ounces.

When I made mine w/10% Kona coffee I used 8 oz in 2 gallons. Either mine was weak or I like it strong. LOL

I'm too much of a cheapskate to use store bought cold brew coffee. Its pretty easy to make at home. My (non scientific) experiments show that using a low acid whole bean coffee (coarsely ground) soaked in some of the fermented beer (you could use vodka) makes a pretty good flavor extract. Do some blending trials to get the flavor you are looking for.
So that's not really the same as using cold brew coffee, but to my taste is much better.

Update:

Final product was a 6.7% mocha porter (double chocolate coffee, lactose). I did some "tests" adding small amounts of the coldbrew coffee to a finished oatmeal stout I had on tap to get a ballpark on the flavor.

I ended up using 2 bottles of the Chameleon Espresso cold brew at kegging time. Coffee flavor is present but not overpowering. Porter is delicious. Dry nibbed with 8 ounces of roasted nibs.

Future brews I'm going to try some of the Chameleon concentrate instead of the ready to drink.

I used the Chameleon before and yeah, it's good for this purpose. Glad it worked out for you. I've used the concentrate before, and it's definitely the more effective way to go for a beer.

Curious how much of the concentrate were you adding to your batches? Which Chameleon coffee flavor did you use? Have you tried more than one?

I made a 5-gallon batch of Vietnamese coffee stout. For that one I used cold brew I made from Trung Nguyen and Cafe du Monde, but didn't get enough coffee flavor into the beer, so I added a bit of the Chameleon Mocha concentrate—maybe 8oz? I think the total infusion including the homemade cold brew was around 32oz. I will say that the Chameleon added as much flavor at 8oz as my homemade cold brew did at 24oz.
