So, my wife was helping me and cleaned my boil kettle with comet stainless steel powder...should I be worried? Can doesn't list the ingredients so I don't know if it has any wax/sealant type compounds but it does clean up the kitchen sink well ....we rinsed it well then washed again with dish soap and another good rinse.

I've cleaned my pot many times with Comet or Ajax. Just make sure to rinse well.

I wouldn't worry much, but does it contain bleach? If so, I'd stay away. Also, some stainless cleaners may contain anti-smudge coatings to prevent fingerprints and the like. Not sure if they're food safe. I use Bar Keepers Friend for my stainless. Bon Ami is good too ...
