Combining Maris Otter and Pilsner malt

What types of brew could be produced with a combination of M.O. and Pilsner? I would like to use a 60/40 or 65/35 ratio. Can anyone steer me towards some recipes or styles that this might be a good fit for? thanks!

Jukas' Russian River Row 2 Hill 56 clone in the recipe database is about a 60/35 split the other way - pilsner/MO - with a little crystal. I've used the grainbill with a number of different hop combos in the APA/IPA range with very good results (I cut the crystal a bit to 5%).

Add some candi syrup and you could make a nice Dubbel or Belgian Dark Strong (Quad).

The Stone Enjoy By clone floating around here is pretty much 50/50 MO and 2-row.

Pretty much any pale beer, be it lager or ale.

Agree. I would lean towards a pale ale of some sort. That pilsner will let other ingredients (hops and yeast) shine through.

1.5# Pilsner
1.5# Vienna
1# Munich
1# flaked corn.

i am going to use Summit to bitter and Wakatu for aroma/flavoring.

The corn is the most American thing in there! Does look tasty though... Beer= alchemy.

I do that all the time for my IPAs, at about a 2:1 ratio, plus a little oat malt, and a bit of sugar. Love it!
