Joined HBT after lurking for a year. Wanted to get in on the group buy from CMC.

I probably won't post much, but wanted to be social.

Welcome to the wonderful world of brewing in Colorado. I will see you on the weekend of the 7th for the grain buy.

Thanks for the warm welcome, folks. I'm looking forward to meeting some of the local brewers on the 7th when I pick up my grain.

Just a little bit about me:

I've been brewing for 1 year and 16 days as of today. I have a small group of friends that I suckered into brewing with me, who have all been bit by the bug as hard as I have been. We've managed to brew almost 60 batches between the four of us over the last year!

We started with a 7 gallon aluminum pot and a turkey cooker burner to make our first batch, a partial-mash IPA. My second batch was all-grain (I converted a cooler into a mash tun). Since then I have been steadily building up my system to all Sanke (HLT, MLT, BK) with a Therminator chiller and a March 809 pump. All components are either stainless, copper, or silicone.

With that much brewing, bottling became a huge chore, so I invested in a kegging system. The other 3 guys were quick to follow. A keezer build was inevitable and I finished the 7 cu. ft. keezer build a few days before our 1 year anniversary!

It's been a busy year, but one of the most enjoyable of my life (as far as hobbies/obsessions go, that is.)!!
