Cold crashing, how long is too long??

So last night I placed my secondary in the fridge to crash it and then found out that I would be leaving earlier then expected for a trip.

This will only make my 6th batch and first that I'm trying to cold crash and I'm just worried that if I keep it in the fridge for 5 day that I'll wreck the quality. I do have the option to pull it out and keg now, giving it only 24 hours in the fridge.

Back ground:
3 1/2 weeks in primary
2 weeks in secondary
Now in crash mode

Where do you store beer bottles? In the fridge. No worries.

If you had a lot of head space your airlock may be empty. A vacuum is formed by the cooling and can suck back the airlock liquid. Not an issue in itself, but do make sure your airlock is topped off before you leave.

I typically only cold crash for 2-3 days, but left one in the fridge for 7 days. It came out perfectly clear and beautiful. Much better than the others. I think I am going to start cold crashing for about 5-7 days from now on.
