Yes or no? I know it should be hazy but I like crashing to also help speed the chilling process in the keg.
 
I'd say it's not necessary. But is there something you're trying to accomplish by chilling before you keg other than optimizing Co2 absorption?
 
Wit should be hazy but that haze should come mostly from the wheat instead of the yeast. Too much yeast in suspension can give the beer some funky flavors. I cold crash my wit and still end up with yeast in the bottles.

Interesting. Drinking SN Torpedo last night, kinda hazy. Safe to assume they use a little wheat for head retention?

They might, but I also thought heavily hopped, unfiltered beers can suffer from haze as well due to the polyphenols in suspension. Mind you, I could be completely making this up, but I always heard it called "hop haze."
