I have the budget, the blessing of the wife, and finally the tools to start my keezer build. I have been looking at a TON of keezer builds, and the idea of a giant heavy lid worries me a bit design wise. In addition, I would love to have a built in cabinet for my glassware and other liqueur. This would be a huge hassle if everything had to be removed in order to open the lid.

I have considered putting a piano hing in front of the coffin so only the front part of the lid would open. This would solve the weight issues, and let me build a whole cabinet on the back. In addition, the keezer would not need to be pulled out from the wall to open the lid. However, I am thinking I might end up hating the keg management involved in doing it this way. I am thinking I probably would not be able to access the back kegs without removing the front kegs. Currently I only have room for 1 keg in a mini fridge, so I don't have alot of experience moving kegs, but it seems like I would kick up yeast, and have to deal with cloudy beer every time I moved a not yet empy keg. Anyone with a keezer have any thoughts on this? I haven't seen anyone try this, so I don't know if its because no one thought to do it this way, or if its just a really terrible idea.
