Coffin Keezer: Drip tray insert falling out

I'm just finishing up my first Keezer build (will post pics soon!) I've secured the drip tray on the counter top (with 3M velcro picture hanging command strips.) However when I flip up the coffin lid the drip tray grill insert falls out.

Anybody have a good solution to keep the drip tray grill/grate secure until I want to clean it?

My keezer lid doesn't quite open vertically enough to reliably drop the drip tray insert but I still remove it first.
The alternative might be installing a pair of SS screws through the middle of the ends...
