Im in the process of running 2 corny kegs in my freshly built kegerator and im in need of a splitter to pressurize both at the same time. Im okay with same pressure for both so could I just install a 5/16" brass barb tee fitting instead of spending $30+ on a y fitting and extra valve to accomplish this?

Anyone have any other ideas for a cheap skate like myself? :)

Yes you can do this.

Just be sure your connections are solid and check for leaks.

Awesome thanks for the quick reply. I will update everyone once I have this completed.

Well I couldn't find just a brass barb tee. So I went a little overboard:) . Total cost was $26 from lowes. Actually cheaper than buying the wye that is for sale online if you include shipping. I could have saved $14 if I didn't add the elbows and new ball valve. Either way I like it and just wanted to share with everyone.
