I am looking to get a 3keg kit from keg connection along with a bottle..

I understand more LB is more CO2, but how long does a 4lb last VS a 5lb, is it worthwhile to get a 4lb bottle over a 5lb bottle.

The 4lb is like 32 and the 5lb bottle is like $54....

I think you can get about 15 legs out of a 5lb tank. Not positive though. If you want to be safe, do what I did and get a 20lb tank. They are more money off the bat, and generally don't fit in the kegerator, but they are a fraction the price to fill ($/lb) and you can easily run the line through the side of a kegerator and leave the tank outside.

Noone sells tanks locally so I have to purchase online.

I got quoted 7.50 to fill a 5, 9.50 to fill a 10, and 14.25 to fill a 20 @ our local AOC

A 5lb will get 25% more :mug:

At those prices, you may want to think about spending an extra $10 and get two 4lb tanks. The biggest problem with having one CO2 tank is running out and not having another. For $10 more you can have one full and waiting and then you can fill the other at your leisure.

Just get a tank from the Airgas. I would never use anything under 10 lbs. I'm using a 20 lbs now and I've very pleased with it. It's an even swap at Airgas.

They were the cheapest locally they just faxed me a quote. The price for a 20 can't be right tho.... 72.39?? and 23.95 to fill it up.

Don't forget to include the long-term costs of filling a smaller tank. I've had #5 tanks for years, but my current CO2 source charges $2 (that's TWO bucks) more for #10 vs #5. I upgraded and the next time I fill them, I'm ahead.

my first tank was a 15 lb. It cost me $40 full (used tank). After that was empty I exchanged for a 20 lb tank for $35 (total, handed over the 15 lb tank and $35, and received a 20 lb).

With the bigger the tank, the initial cost is more compared to a smaller tank, but you will spend waaaaay less $$ in the end with a bigger tank. Here, a 5 lb tank will cost about $15 to fill, but a 20 lb tank will cost about $25 to fill. You get 4 times more gas for $10 more.

sounds about right. Airgas sold me a 20# tank for about $100 and told me that the fill up was free. What's funny is that it costs me exactly the same amount to fill a 5# as it does to fill the 20#.

There's nothing really "funny" about that. Most of the cost of filling a cylinder is the labor, not the gas.
