Hey all -

Working on kegging for the first time and I found a deal on craigslist for a 20lb CO2 tank + regulator full and registered in 2010 for $100.

Is this a good deal?

Also is there a huge advantage to having this much larger tank?

Thanks!

Its not a steal...but its a pretty good deal.

20lb tank will last longer...I've got a 5 corny kegs in my kegerator with a 20lb tank and Its still going strong after a year.

Yeah, I know you already bought yours but for those that haven't I got two 20# tanks for free on the local "recycling" group. The needed inspected and filled but that cost me about 50 bucks for the pair of them so...

If you're in a major city I'd definitely suggest finding a recycling group In KC it's the yahoo group reuseitkc. It's a great source for all manner of stuff. I wound up getting those two tanks, a sink and counter top for my man cave, bottles for my wine making, as well as various and sundry other items. It's also a good way to get rid of things you aren't using but haven't outlived their usefullness.
