Hopefully, you were able to purge the headspace with CO2 before it ran out, but if not, I wouldn't panic. I'd get some more CO2 sooner rather than later, though.

Add some fermentables so yeast may scavenge whatever O2 Made ir into the beer?
Not such a big mistake...

You're good, one of the best reasons for getting a second tank, not to mention you don't need to disconnect the kegarator to purge.

Pull it out and put it at room temperature add about 1/3-2/5 cup table sugar, let sit two weeks. By then you'll have new tank and you then can cold crash it for 48 hours (otherwise you'll backwash beer into your gas lines.. don't ask) and have a keg conditioned beer with most of the O2 scavanged out of the head space.

If you had enough co2 to purge you are good until you get more. If not the added sugar even just a little bit to create some co2 then open the PRV to let the air out might be the best option.

I don't know about the backwash. I have always pressurized the kegs while warm, then put them in the kegerator.

Op says he kegged then ran out of CO2.So the keg is co2 filled and oxygen free.Should be more than fine.Go get tank filled and continue on as planned.Even if it was never hooked up to the tank the keg is just another fermentation vessel. No worries
