Does it matter how short a gas line is? I'm rearranging to fit 3 kegs in my system and want to cut the gas lines down a lot to clear up the clutter. Any issues with doing that?

not that I have noticed, I have 5 draft lines and the longest is about 4 ft and the shortest is 1.5 ft. They all come out of a manifold with one line in from the tank. I would be interested to see if anybody else has a more "scientific" response though.

In the 32-48 F temp range CO2 behave like an ideal gas (PV = n R T) and will not suffer any significant drop in pressure for the length of lines used in home kegerators and keezers. The gas molecules will have fairly linear motion and experience elastic collisions allowing the pressure from the CO2 tank to be effectively distributed along the gas line.

Just my $0.02 worth from teaching fluid dymanics in the past.
