Cloudy Icewine... will it clear?

I picked up a couple Icewine kits and everything is going as intended, but this is my first time with a wine that requires clearing agents and degassing, so I have a few questions...

First up, I picked up a Fermtech whip to degass, but I noticed the bung is waaaay too small for my 6 gallon carboy. Did I end up getting the wrong one, or is this completely normal? Is the idea with this whip that you actually plug the bung in the opening of the carboy? It seems like this may be suited for a 3 gallon (or smaller) carboy.

Second, I'm in the clearing staging now with the Icewine (the normal sulfites and isinglass), and I have a weird issue, I'm not sure if I'm just being impatient or if this indicates something wrong. The carboy is filled up to about 2 inches below the bung, and the wine looks really clear about 6-7 inches down from the top. From there down, it looks cloudy / hazy. It's looked like this for the last 4 days or so. Any ideas if this is indicative of a problem, or should I just not worry about it and leave it be?

3 to 6 gallon should take the same size bung.

Yep....
It will clear just fine if you let it sit.....

My scuppernog/muscadine blush and my muscadine red both started out quite cloudy... but a year in the secondary cleared them up to crystal clear....
