Hey everyone, I'm not really a brewer per se but I love being around the community of brewers. I kinda learned in college that quality beer is better than quantity, and I started to look for unique and flavorful beers. Microbreweries and craft breweries can fill that need to a certain extent, but the originality is really the fun of the independent beer game. Around this time some buddies of mine got into home brewing and I pretty much just hung around them and suggested ideas and beer names (From Bald Jesus to Smells Like Teen SBeerit).

Home brewers are definitely creative and fun from my experience and like I said without trying to sound super patronizing its just a fun community that I want to be a part of. And who knows, maybe someday I'll throw my hat in the brewing ring.

Until then, cheers :mug: and I look forward to reading about all the awesome things that other brewers are coming up with!

Welcome!
Lurk on brother, and when the bug bites, go for it.

There's not much better than pulling a pint of great beer made by your own hand, at the end of a hard day of work :D

Bets anyone? I give 'em 2 months, tops...

I'll give a little shove:
Come on... It's only $100! :ban:

...and it's fun! :mug: Saturday was one of the most enjoyable brew days I've ever had. Outside in the sunny weather brewing, grilling and drinking homebrews and micros.

You could start with something like EdWort's Apfelwein. I've made one gallon batches in the gallon jug the apple juice comes in. Your cost there would be super cheap.
