Howdy folks, I found a wort chiller for sale on craigslist, but the pic shows it may be a bit corroded. I won't actually know until I go check it out. So, is it possible to clean and sanitize copper? I don't want my beer to taste like pennies or copper polish. Or is it not worth looking at?

Best way is to soak in a strong mixture of starsan or other acid based cleanser/sanitizer.

Agreed. A vinegar solution will work also, but you'll need to make sure that it's well rinsed after that.

I just fill a bucket with star-san and toss it in there for a while when mine starts looking grimey.
