I have been brewing for about a year now and have ~10 5gallon extract batches under my belt. My question is should I be using a cleaner like PBW before each batch. I make sure to hit everything liberally with starsan, but haven't ever had a real dirty issue that would require PBW. After each batch I clean and scrub all my equipment and put it away after it drys. Then before the next one I hit it with the star san. Just curious if I am ok or if I am just setting myself up for contamination sometime down the road. Thanks for the insight.

You only need to clean things that are dirty. After I'm done brewing, I clean my boil kettle, mash tun, and the equipment I used. Then on brewday, if anything has visible dust or anything on it it gets rinsed off before use. I brew often, so it doesn't really get dusty or dirty sitting around- but if it did, I'd just wash the things that needed cleaning.

The things that touch the wort post-boil will get sanitized just before use.
