Cleaning out left over wort and hops from boil kettle

How do you guys clean your EBIAB pot? I usually leave a little wort with hops. Is there a better way to remove this before cleaning besides dumping it over?

Do you have a ball valve? You could add some hot water and swirl it around a bit then let that drain before doing a fill and dump.

I do with an elbow but it didn't get everything out. I tried to keep adding cleaning water while pumping water out, but it didn't get clean enough. I had to dump the pot over to remove all debris before washing.
