Cleaning new SS firkin casks

I just purchased a couple of new stainless steel firkin casks and was wondering if they need some special cleaning regimen for the first time or do the manufactures clean them? Thanks for any suggestions!

Definitely run them through a cleaning cycle. All new gear should be considered dirty due to storage and handling.
