Cleaning EX-Cap Bottles

Going to soak some EZ-Cap bottles in Oxiclean. The wire cage and cap are on them, with the grommets taken off. Can the grommets go loose into Oxiclean?

(Everything is brand new, and the grommets appear pretty clean. But for the future...)

I soaked the same style bottles in PBW once. Never again. The PBW corroded the wire bales. Now I remove the bale assembly for a quick cleaning, rinse, and then sanitize like a bottle cap just before filling the bottles. I just feel if the cleaning solution can corrode the wire bale it may cause an earlier failure of the seal.
