1st time using a blow-off tube for primary.
Used tubing attached to the stem of a 3-piece airlock.
After the fermentation subsided I simply pulled off the tubing, and put the remaining airlock pieces in place with sanitized water.
The inside of the stem has some krausen material stuck to it.
I figure since everything inside the bucket has remained in tact there is no need to replace this airlock with another sanitized one, so just leave it in place for another few weeks until I'm done w/ primary.
I mean the inside of the bucket is going to be covered in the same material so should be no issues, right?
