Clean element before 1st use?

This may be a dumb question, but I just received a stainless 5500w ripple element from BrewHardware and I'm wondering if it needs any kind of cleaning before 1st use. Are there any manufacturing oils, etc on it?
Should I just hang the element part only in some PBW, or passivate with starsan?
Or am I just overthinking it?

I'm sure I didn't, but didn't it take longer to ask the question than it would have to just wipe them off with a wet towel? Just do it for peace of mind, right?

Yes they are oily. Wash with dish detergent.

I always wash new equipment with dish soap, rinse extremely well, then hot PBW soak it (which is probably unnecessary).

If you saw the factories where this stuff is made you might not think this was even enough.
