Yes, I brewed Jeff Renner's venerable pre-prohibition recipe this week. Simple, yet complicated. No 6-row available here anymore, I used a 2-row pils malt, augmented with flaked corn. OG:1.049. Saaz for hops, yet only low alpha hops available, I bittered with about 0.25 oz. Nugget, with 0.5 ounce Saaz first wort hops, followed with 1.0 oz Saaz bittering, and 2.5 oz Saaz flavor. Chilled with my new counterflow chiller (handy!) and pitched White Labs Mexican Lager yeast. Tasted great going in, and the primary fermentation (50F for a day, now 40F) is humming right along. Figure transfer to corny for lagering in a couple of days.

:DI can hardly wait for summer.
