I am in the works of planning a Belgium white for spring/summer and I was curious. I know that bitter and sweet orange peel is at the LHBS, but say I wanted to add some subtle flavors of lemon or lime, could I just zest or peel the fruit and add it directly into the end of the boil or would this be no good. I was just curious, I thought it might be interesting to experiment with some different flavors.

I have added orange and grapefruit zest (grated peel) to the boil in the last five minutes and the flavor carried through. Just my .02

I was going to ask the same thing. I've brewed a few wits but never get the orange/citrus taste like you get when you get a Blue Moon Draft from a bar.

I'm looking for that taste.

yeah no kidding...

to the OP, be sure not to put any of the pith (the white part of the peel) in the boil, it will impart bitter off flavors...
