Hello all, fairly new home brewer here with a question. I'm taking a Stab at brewing a Christmas ale which is currently fermenting. (Today is the 3rd day in the fermenter) I was wondering would there be any ill effects to adding some cinnamon and ginger now as opposed to what I probably should have done during the boil?

Not at all! You can add it during boil, fermentation or secondary. You will get different results from each one. Make sure to sanitize what you put in.

How would I sanitize cinnamon? What exactly do you mean by different results. I'm assuming the earlier you introduce the flavors in the process the stronger they are?

Add lets say a cinnamon stick to vodka. Just enough to cover it. Let it for a couple minutes then put it in.
