Was that Lasering or whatever? Did I see him on here? Or maybe that was pre-my-ban and I saw him elsewhere.
I think Lasering is the one who cut the line or something at one of the events at the brewpub. I remember reading about it on BA

No, Lasering was one of the people who the "it's my birthday guy!" bitched at for allegedly jumping the line or whatever. But the truly epic part of all that was him accusing RayUF07 of being a bad parent for bringing his kid to the CCB Brewpub (as if it's not common for families to eat at that kind of place or something, it's not like it's a bar).

translation for those who cannot go there? Also, do you have a pic of his avatar? His name sounds familiar.

Doesn't have an avatar. Here's some of the highlights:

"If your lasering you can show up when ever, get Leon and dip real quick because u know you are in the wrong and as for the other guy saying he didn't cut we all understand its just beer but I thought craft beer people were honest and obviously I was wrong"

"If you weren't pulling anything than when they started handing out numbers you and your wife would have gone back in line where u were when u got there and you didn't you took four and five like it was yours

Also parents of the year for bringing children to a beer release because that's more important"

"Are you ******* serious right now. He showed up way after our group did and was around the corner with his wife and kids, he then saw someone he must have known and went to say hey, then grabbed his cooler and moved to the front of the line. At that point I have no problem but once it got closer to opening he should have gone back to his spot in line but he didn't his wife joined them. After we all found out it was going to be different **** is when we all got pissed because he didn't get there early enough to get Leon, and yea it is my birthday but I didn't play that card to get Leon I woke up early enough to get there to get it so yea I'm pissed when I get cheated"

"ill do what the **** I please birthday or not"

"youre right im sure when asked the kids shouted "WE WANT TO GO THE THE CIGAR CITY BREW PUB"! Im sure DCF would love to know that these parents drink then drive with a 10 month old in the car, not to mention standing outside for 2 hours in the florida heat."

Gets totally owned repeatedly by RayUF07 , Badboy7113 , TBstoutsNsours , and MAD Polo , then the thread gets locked.

Birthday Boy upset at another guy who apparently cut the line. The guy moved up in line and shared some BA Speedways beers with Birthday Boy and others. When they handed out numbers, Sharing Man gave his numbers to the people he moved in front of and then ended up with his original number. Birthday Boy then called him out in the thread as a line jumper and unfit parent because he brought his family with to grab some lunch, drove drunk with kids in the car and forced his kids to stand in the FL heat.

Also a whole lot a butt hurt from Cali posters on the site and BA. Excuse us, but the Bruery isnt the end all be all. They make a few really good beers but they also make a **** ton of stinkers. (at least what we get here in FL) Oh by the how is that $10 six pack of world class IPA or pale ale or red ale from the Bruery, Oh wait they dont make any. How was that infected bottle of WC or Winefication or the other 4 or 5 beers that happend to this year that made it out to the public. Nothing from CCB got released infected they caught the Amplitude. made sure it was good and sold it to EL Cat members.

I don't think the "butt hurt" was exclusive to California. I think there were plenty of people very upset from Florida too (as exhibited from all of the posts here, on BA, on Facebook, etc). Those feelings were simply magnified for anyone from any state who had the additional airfare cost for Hunapocalypse. I'm sure any one from Florida would be equally upset if they flew to another state and had the same experience.

Not sure how this turned into an attack on The Bruery. The Bruery had no role in Hunahpu Day. The Bruery's customer service isn't in question. Both The Bruery and CCB make great beer (and both have the occasional stinker). But personally, I'd rather be fully refunded for any infected bottles without question, than have a pasteurized infected beer. Honestly, I don't really have an issue with how CCB handled this infection because they let the El Catador know about the issue before they purchased it.

God, rereading that thread......that's why i'm contracting rather than expanding my beer interests / venue visits, because the percentage of complete bumblefuck ******* craft beer enthusiasts exponentially gets worse the more involved I become. So if you want to find me, i'll be at CCB, with an occasional visit to some of the other locals, but nowhere else.

He used the same lame pic in 2 separate posts, I think he's gonna just leave it at that and evade your question

Speaking of evading questions, are you the guy who started the bogus LIF to raise money for somebody else's sick dog so you could pay your vet bills?

I evaded questions? I admitted I lied, I was embarrassed that I was short on a $10,000 vet bill and said it was a friends dog. I offered to give every dollar back and sent out every box I promised. How is that a bogus LIF? Do I regret not being 100% honest and say it was my dog, yes. Never evaded anything. So idk how this pertains to a major brewery ******* up a beer fest and blaming it on attendees unless you got your panties in a bunch that someone is criticizing your favorite brewery

Once they plan an event where they can sell beers members signed up for at 6x the member allotments then we will hear about round 2
Looks like the Bruery has the option do to the same thing
From the Societies site-
By “Exclusive” we mean.... for 2014 our intent is that most beer meant for Reserve and Hoarders Societies is sold primarily, if not solely to those societies. We plan production aiming to produce enough bottles to meet the anticipated demand from Reserve and Hoarders members. For next year, we’ve also decreased the number of guaranteed bottles while increasing the number of releases to allow us to help avoid over-production of any single release. This doesn’t mean that we expect members to buy every single allocation available, and we do adjust our projections accordingly. Still, we do depend on a certain threshold of sales for reach release. So, after the initial sale of a release, if there are a substantial number of outstanding bottles, at our discretion, we may offer them back for sale to Hoarders members. If there is still sufficient inventory, we may offer them again to Reserve members. And on occasion, we may offer them to Preservation members. We may also offer otherwise Exclusive beers at The Bruery events or at our Tasting Room, or cellar them for a later release. These extended releases won’t be the norm for every beer, so we encourage you to purchase your allocations when they are available, rather than waiting to see if they’ll be re-offered to the members. We hope this is a reasonable balance of your expectations and our business needs. We may change our practices to ensure that we are able to sell the beer we produce.

So dont get all High and mighty that ECC members some how got the shaft. Also they sold 71 cases at 1 per that would have been 852 ECC members that would have had a chance at a DB Huna, just over half. So there still would have been bitching. I also didnt read where any gave 2 ***** that the GGA, DG and ITP all ECC beers were sold at no limit.

God damn Johnny give it a rest.

(By the way I dont fault your decision on your LIF, you did yours when I was doing mine and mine was damn hard to compete with) even the my ex Friend Dave ended up bing a Dick about the whole thing.

I haven't chimed in on this but I think you're dead wrong in trying to compare the Bruery's policy to what CCB did. To my understanding, the only time the Bruery makes club beers available outside the club is when Reserve/Hoarder members have bought their fill. There is no question that most Catador members would have liked an additional bottle of DB Huna. This isn't an example of CCB trying to move product that is just sitting around.

Most of my posts in this thread have been in jest, mainly out of boredom and to entertain myself. I know there's no way they could've satisfied all their members. And I don't wanna get into the discussion of who runs a better society because we will go on endlessly disagreeing. That said, it's my opinion that The Bruery is better run than CCB, but it's not perfect by any means. The fact they had infected beers and insist on making Smoking Wood every year is proof of that.

And I'm sorry to hear that your ex friend ended up being a dick about the LIF

Selling a case or two of a beer at a smaller limit than the initial club release and at an event where the sale of said beer is announced ahead of time is hardly the same thing as doing a firesale where people can buy more than the total club production and 6x the total club allotment on a day when no one was expecting to be for sale. I'm not sure why you'd even try to equate those things, they're very manifestly different.

Again, I don't personally give a crap that they did this, but it seems very obviously stupid to me and I understand why some people are upset.

I realize I was a lot snarkier about this earlier in this thread than how I actually feel, especially in retrospect, but I do still feel that a lot of people (not so much here) are making what happened with regards to these beers a way bigger part of the story that day than it should be. CCB made the rash decision to offload as much extra product as they could, scoring a ton of cash in a matter of minutes and clearing out inventory space. The fact that their public face on BA feels the need to be more contrite and apologetic for that than the near-riot **** show the brewery created speaks volumes not only about them but about what they perceive BA's user base to be, and on that latter point they are not far off. Anyone who claims the biggest outrage of Saturday was ECC beers being sold to the "general public" (who, ostensibly, paid $50 to be there) has a warped sense of perspective and/or probably wasn't there.

Understood, Lets have CCB and TB do another collab. Hopefully a stout!

Wait, what? What's the story?
My wife worked for him (huge retial company), We gave him the money in Aug. In Sept she kept reporting to him and loss prevention that she had an employee stealing cash. After 6 weeks of her reporting it the LP guy came in and agreed that money was missing. 2 days later they fired all the managers. My wife was the GM. Dave who could have fought for her did nothing. I told him that actually pretty nicely and didnt hear from him for months.

Then my wife texts him asking how the girs are and he fnally texts back. During the conversation he has the BALLS to tell her that because she got fired he lost a $1000 manager retainment bonus. She had to physically restrain me from getting the car to go to his house ( in my mind i was going to beat his ass). Havnt talked to him since.

I did hear he put the $19 cash in a college fund for the kids and used $4 to pay bills.

Oh well.

Wow so much dirt this thread is digging up, where is the jerry springer story regarding beer
