So this year I decided to build my own cider press. I did so using white oak and a 12 ton (Harbor Freight) shop press. I also needed a grinder, so I bought a 7/8 hp stainless steel garbage disposer attached to a wash tub I got at home depot. I had everything else for the setup as we vended food at festivals for a little while (till baby #2 and #3 put a damper on it) So anyhow, I am personally done with it for the year, so anyone in Pa that would like to either rent it or haul your apples here to Linglestown, Pa to do the pressing. let me know. It is a lot of work, but it is fun work, and the result in the end is so worth it. ~Bob

Bob, I'm from the Midwest, but would love to see a picture of the press you built. Thinking about building one of my own soon.
