Will sun do the same thing to cider as it will to beer? I keep my beer primary covered
in t-shirts, but i didnt even think about my cider.

Is all lost?
 
Hops are directly affected by UV light. Unless you are using hops in your cider, than you should be fine. Most people do try to keep them covered or in a dark area. The reasoning is more a) sunlight can take the color out of the liquid b) who knows, it can't hurt to keep it safe.

But no, all is not lost, but for now on you might want to keep them away from sunlight just in case.
