I did have a Chugger Pump with High Temperature Stainless Steel Head, actually I have two one for water one for wort.

The one for water works great the one for wort, althou clean, does make a screeching noise, no it's not running dry, because it does move the wort.

I think the rotary thingie is wobbly. Is there way to get a replacement part for it ? Anyone experiences this ?

I notice that has to do with temperature the higher the temp is the more probable is to get the noise.

I had the same issue. Its caused by the impeller sitting loose on the shaft. I couldn't find parts anywhere aside from buying a whole new head. I ended up putting a thin wrap of teflon tape around the shaft and sliding the impeller back over it. Its been pumping away quietly ever since.

You can buy replacement impellers online for the March pumps and they work on the Chuggers. Something else to check is that there is supposed to be a teflon washer on the shaft between the impeller and head/body.

I think mine is loose on the shaft. Not sure why that happened. Only used this pump with wort, hot wort - I recirculate a lot. Tape might be a good solution too. How much tape ?

I never even thought of looking for March parts, its good to know though. That teflon washer is easy to lose if you're not looking for it.

A single wrap of tape was all it took on mine, just enough to take up the play between the shaft and impeller.
