I want to know what you guys think of this recipe. It's my first attempt at a Christmas Beer!

13 lbs. Maris Otter
.5 lbs. Crystal 80
.5 lbs. crystal 120
.5 lbs chocolate malt
.5 lbs Black Patent

1 oz. Warrior Hops Pellets (60 minute)

WLP002 English Ale Yeast

2 Cinnamon Sticks (5-10 minute)
1 tsp clove buds(5-10 minutes)
5 Clementine Peels (5-10 minutes)

Sound good? Needs improvements? I've really only made pale ales and wheat beers so far. This is my first attempt at something different.

That looks delicious! With a pound of chocolate/black, it will be a pretty dark beer - is that what you're going for? Also, what do you think you want to mash it at?

Cheers!

I was going for a very dark/warm Christmas brew for this. I ended up mashing around 155 degrees Fahrenheit to give it more of a full body. I also ended up using 2.5 sticks of cinnamon instead of 2 and I used a lot more zest of Clementine. The sample i had after boil was pretty tasty!

I'm still in debate about the priming sugar. I'm thinking about using brown sugar maybe, but there's already a lot going on in there.
