Chinchillas

After downing a couple pitchers at the local pub, the wife and I stop by the pet store on the way home... we now own a chinchilla. Anyone else have one? She's been a lot of fun so far (the chinchilla)... seems pretty smart, likes to be held, and a pretty cute lil rodent.

My kids just had an animal show at their day care. One of the things was a chinchilla. Softest darn things I've ever touched. Cool get.

LOL Orfy! I remember seeing one at a pet shop that could jump 3 feet straight up! Those things are quick.

Yeah, they're definitely good jumpers... and I hear 15 to 20 year lifespan.

SWMBO & I had Degus for several years in the late 90s. They are a close relative of the chin and have lots of the same traits. They were very cool but difficult to sex and we ended up with 18 at one point!!!

They live forever, they are nocturnal, they bath in dust, they kind of hop/jump when they run, and they will go around in the wheel all freaking night long.
