I am looking for some advice on a chili beer. I am planning on using a belgian wit style as a base and then adding a bit of heat and some flavoring to it. Any thoughts on when the best time to add Chili's is for both heat and flavoring?

I am looking for a touch of heat, I am not interested in melting my tastebuds :).

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I used 2 oz. of cut chipotles in a 10 gal batch of smoked porter. 5 min to the end of boil. The heat is not overwhelming, it's a balanced beer. Not a session beer, but it's an awesome beer anyway.
