I am brewing a chicory stout tomorrow and was wondering when to add the 1oz of chicory I have. Should it go in the boil , secondary fermenter or maybe put it through the French press and add
To secondary that way ?

No experience with Chicory, but I do with coffee. I always cold brew the coffee the day before in the fridge (grind to your desired size, smaller is better, add proper amount of water and let it sit in the fridge overnight covered). Cold brewing results in less bitter addition from the coffee and I would think the same true of chicory. I'm not sure that one oz will add much, but that is only based on my experience drinking it not brewing with it.
