Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington has died at the age of 41, according to The Los Angeles County Coroner. A spokesperson for the coroner’s office confirmed that the death is being investigated as an apparent suicide.

This is a hard day.

I saw Linkin Park in Michigan 7 years ago with my best friend and shortly after, he committed suicide. That concert is the last memory I have with him. I really have no other words, but it's super unfortunate when you know someone who changed your life is gone forever. This news is really hitting me hard today. RIP Chester.

Very tough day indeed @treacheroustexan . I've been a LP fan since 2001. Hybrid Theory, Reanimation, Meteora and Minutes to Midnight literally got my through my teenage years and early 20's.

I've seen the band live I believe 7 times but the last time was the best. Chester had been battling a sore throat through the tour and LP was playing at Jones Beach.

By the end of the show he could barely talk so for the majority of the final songs and encore the fans sang his parts. It was glorious and something I will remember the rest of my life.

Chester, you are no longer in pain and may your soul Rest In Peace brother.

This one hit me pretty hard too. I haven't been a fan of their last couple of albums, but I was actually part of the original street team right after they became Linkin Park, from Hybrid Theory. The whole band was full of great guys, who always seemed incredibly down to earth. It's a shame to see something like this happen.

Really sad to hear. Great band, It's being reported that Chester was very close with Chris Cornell, and had been taking CC's death really hard. Yesterday was Cornell's birthday. RIP CB
