I am about to check the gravity to make sure my fermentation process is over....or close to it. I used a blow off tube into a bucket with the cleaner in it. It has been there for about 10 days. Is that water still ok to sanitize my baster in order to stick in the carboy or should I mix up a new batch of cleaner in order to sanitize? Thanks in advance. I just wasn't sure how long the sanitizer would last.

I don't know how much air exposure weakens various sanitizers. I use starsan and keep both a gallon jug and a spray bottle of it mixed up for random sanitizing needs. I wouldn't risk it. Just mix up more and store it in an old milk jug or something.

Good point...you are right. I would rather not risk my precious brew over cutting corners. Thanks!!

Good call. StarSan is pretty darn inexpensive when you think about it. Brew ingredients on the other hand...........;)
