Cheapest method to evacuate steam...?

As the title says, looking for the cheapest method to evacuate steam? I'm making the move to electric and want to make sure I have a good way to get rid of the steam. I did a quick google search and the hoods I was seeing were $400-$500, not looking to spend that much. Anyone have cheaper ideas?

Check out the steam condenser thread on this forum. It's a great solution that's a lot cheaper and easier than a vent hood.

I'll second this.. I went one step further and use a 2double 12" window fan in the top of my window with a foam board hood over it.. works excellent for years now.
