So I am planning on adding a Herms system into my brewing setup in the next month or so(after I upgrade to electric) and was wondering if I would need to change my setip in my Mash tun. Currently I am using a 10g round rubbermaid cooler with a DIy copper manifold on the bottom in a round pattern. It has been working ok for batch sparging but I was wondering if it will be ok once I add the pump and herms. Or would I be better getting a false bottom for it. In the next year or so, I will most likely upgrade to a bigger mash tun but can't do that just yet. Any thoughts?
