Changing beer lines question

Hey,

How difficult is it to change the beer lines in a keg tower? I recently purchased one and it's on it's way in the mail, however the reviews on OBK stated that the nylon lines are very cheap and leave a plastic flavor in the beer. Now that was one review I read, there might be another on there. However I ordered 20 feet of bevlex. Though looking around online it seems like a hassel?

I am getting the tool with the package to be able to remove them. Is it worth the hassle? Should I attempt to taste the beer with the ones it came with? I have bevlex coming in the mail with perlick taps but they'll arrive some time next week where as the kegs will arrive on thursday. So I am figuring I would install everything and set up my kegerator and switch the lines when the bevlex comes in. But then I started looking around and it seems a lot of people have some frustrations haha.

More than likely the tower will come with a 5' whip of beer line. Way to short in my opinion, but it seems to be the standard shipping length. Depending on the tower, it may be easy or slightly a pain in the arse to remove and reattach the tubing. The top should pop off the tower giving you access to the beer line/shank connections.

Having the right tool is half the battle. From recent exprience I can attest that it's worth the effort to install the longer lines.

Same here. I replaced the lines on my 3 tap tower within a week of getting it. There are a few threads here that are helpful. I did the old screwdriver method to take the nut off since I could not fit a wrench in.
Took maybe an hour to change out to 10 foot lines and it is worth every minute of it.

Yeah I got a wrench when I bought it for making taking it off easier. Which went really well. I dont look forward to doing it in the future but the job is done! haha. The right tools make it a world of difference.
