Does anyone run there ceramic cooker (BGE, Primo, Vision Grill, etc...) on a wood deck?

Just wondering if there is a fire hazard or not.

I run my weber performer, weber genesis, and UDS's on my deck, i just keep a bucket of water ready to go in case of escapes

Hi

Two possibilities:

1) BGE sitting on the deck with no stand at all - yes it's a fire hazard.

2) BGE in a normal nest / stand / table - no not really a significant hazard. I'd keep anything that could burn 12" away from the BGE if I had a choice.

BGE tables run right up to the Egg and they don't seem to be any worse for wear. The major hot spot is on the bottom of the Egg.
