Man, all this talk of people not maxing. If there's still any of you left, I'm your huckleberry. Especially if some of that sexy glass is involved

Right on. Saw good stuff on untappd and pretty decent write up in casey ba thread. But want to hear the trusted talkbeer opinion.

Guess I can wait for next weekend for more reviews. Or **** it, let's just send dontdrinkbeer a bottle

Alright let's have it folks. Looking your way homies riding shotgun back to Denver.....

I shared a bottle of the peach and it was fantastic. Grabbed that since there were only 40 bottles for the release and wanted to try it without opening mine yet.

People loved the Oaked theory. Couple people I know who are members weren't going to max that out today because they maxed out with the member allocations. After drinking it in line while waiting they decided to max that out also.

Just swung by, they're out of everything except for East Bank. Even the bar! Was hoping to get a small pour of dry hop oak theory but nope. Nothing else left pouring, they sure got cleaned out today. Dat Casey.

I would guess 150 people. The line was still growing after the doors opened. Trying to get beers at the bar was a mad house.

My friend went. She couldn't get any Casey for me because they ran out. Casey starts trading for loons, people start showing up.

Shameless plug: support my friend who mules for me and her fight against cancer!

Sat in the cold, and then the sun for four hours before opening. Still amazing time. Too bad the scones lady didn't have any coffee.... Spent way too much money. I knew it was going to be a large release, but I even think Troy was surprised by the turnout.

Oak Theory was mind blowing. Dry Hopped Oak Theory was fantastic. Advanced Oak Theory was OK. Cherry was amazing... and Peach ran out at the bar before I got to try any.

I'm not sure I've ever had a Loon that touched how good regular Oak Theory is.

any thoughts on his post on FB, curious not sure lowering the limits will help the situation....
This was my comment on that other site

I saw the post but how much could you lower the limits then they were? Below are the limits on Saturday. East Bank had a limit of 4 (highest bottle limit) but that was still available at the end and stores got allocations so no need to lower that. Maybe lower Cherry and Oak Theory to 2 bottles. If things are a limit of 1 bottle are less people going to drive up? Now any beers with lower limits will also be set aside for sale at the bar. So are more people going to get to buy the beer to go?

I just can't see how many more people would have got bottles if both things were implemented

East Bank (new blend) ($16) - 4 bottles per person
Cherry Fruit Stand - ($18) - 3 bottles per person
Peach Fruit Stand - ($18) - 1 bottle per person
Oak Theory - ($22) - 3 bottles per person
Dry Hopped Oak Theory - ($24) - 1 bottle per person
Advanced Oak Theory - ($24) - 2 bottles per person

How does DeGarde do it? Don't they have 1-2 bottle limits on the limited stuff, and much higher limits on everything else (like a case or something)? I know they had their own issues with mules/lack of limits, but now it seems like they have it figured out. I view them and Casey in a similar light in terms of location, accessibility, etc. So wonder if that is the model that Casey will follow. I could be way off on DeGarde limits, haven't paid too much attention to what is going on up there.

Couple of differences that I think make a big difference. First they are open more then one day a month. With this I think you see more people showing up for the Casey release. I also think De Garde releases beers more often. So if people miss some then no big deal, they just go up the next one.

This Casey release was a bit different with it being a great day out and several new beers being released at the same time.

Good point on how often they are open, and I agree, I think that does make a big difference. Any idea if Troy has any plans to expand how often he opens?
