I recently bottled a doppelbock after 4 weeks of lagering (AHS kit). Will the carbonation take longer because the yeast is "dormant" (probably not the right word) after 4 weeks at 40 F?

Just curious.

There should still be more than enough yeasty-beasties floating around in suspension to carbonate your beer.

In any case, especially since it's a Bock, maybe let it sit a while longer in the bottles than normal. The flavour can only improve (According to allaboutbeer, normal Starkbier (bock) is lagered for almost 2 months)

Cheers,
Awfers
