Ok, I have 1/2 gallon of beer i want to carb up in 1liter swing tops..

i have some carbtabs.. it says 4 tabs per 12oz for normal carb..

btw it is a peach american wheat.

so, im thinking 11 tabs per bottle.. sound about right?

1/2 gal is 64 oz, so I'd guess you'd want closer to 20 tabs. (12oz * 5 = 60oz, so 4 tabs * 5 = 20 tabs).

Or another way to look at it is 4 tabs/12oz or 1tab/3 oz. 21*3 = 63 so 21 would probably give you the same carbonation as 4 in a 12oz bottle.

Its a bit unorthodox, but when i fill a growler I do 4 seconds of honey straight out of the little bear and then put away. Carbs up great in a week or so

Yeah, 11 tabs per 1 liter bottle should be good. That's what you meant, right?

And about the honey, I'll have to try that some time.
