I'm in the process of building my collar. It won't be complete for another few weeks.

I have a stella clone that has been lagering for 6 weeks. I want to get it in the keg and put CO2 on it for 3 weeks. Can I just put the air in line on and not worry about the beer out line? I assume the post stops any liquid from coming out.

Just using a picnic tap and that's how I do it too. Plus it prevents me from accidentally leaving the tap open when I attempt to carbonate.

I took both posts off to clean everything (the keg came directly from a soda company). I don't remember which posts go where. They aren't specific to air in or beer out right? Or is there a way to tell if one post is air in and the other is beer out?

The posts are different in size. There is a small difference between the post sizes that is not immediately apparent when you look at them. The keg should be marked with an "In" and "Out" near the posts. As to the posts, the co2 post usually has a small series of hash marks stamped into it near the bottom all the way around the post.

As to the first question, there is no need to have any output hose on the keg to carb it up, but you do want the keg to be chilled as the beer will not absorb much co2 at room temperatures.

I do know the keg itself is marked. I'll look for those marks on the post. I Just put them in oxiclean again (the disconnects haven't been cleaned yet so I figured I would clean everything again with them lol). After an hour or so in the oxiclean, I'll brush them, rinse them and put everything on. I'm not going to run oxiclean or starsan through the keg because I have nothing for the out line but I will sanitize everything and just let it drip out.

Once I have the keezer set up, I'll start running starsan through the keg and lines.
